It’s Wednesday, middle of the week already. I’ve had a busy morning and yesterday was a busy day too.  Yesterday we had a funeral visitation to do, first thing in the morning; 10;00 - 11;00 up in Princeton. So, after the visitation, we went to a mew place to eat; well, new for us. Several of our parishioners had recommended a place up there call American Table and so we decided to try it out. First of all, it lived up to the hype that folks had given us. It certainly isn’t a fancy place by any stretch of the imagination. I don’t know what it used to be but now it is a restaurant. The service was friendly and good. Of course I wanted breakfast, Kate wanted lunch, they had two different menus. I ordered country fried steak with eggs, American fries and pancakes. My order came on three plates. The steak took up one plate and was covered, and I mean covered with country gravy. The eggs and potatoes were on the second plate and was a heaped up serving. And then there were two pancakes on the third plate. I hate to admit it, —— but I ate it all. It was perfect. Kate had a turkey sandwich of some kind and it was covered with turkey gravy and she also had fried potatoes. So, if I am in Princeton and I’m hungry, I’ll be stopping in there again. 

After lunch, we waddled to the car and headed to the church to run the bulletins. That didn’t take too long. (We have a process). From there we came home and got home just in time for Karen to came by. She stayed for a couple of hours; but she brought asparagus and something else —- I forget what but I’m taking maybe green beans; although that doesn’t sound right either. Any way, after she left, we got a litte bit of a nap in. 

This morning, I had planned ahead that I as going to get up early and get some yard work done before thee heat of the day set in and maybe I could beat the humidity too. So, I got up at 0615, started the coffee pot, and was in the years with my weed eater by 0630. I got all of my trimming done around and in the flowerbeds; I got my yard today mowed, Dan’s yard totally mowed, the garden watered and the drive and the sidewalks all blown off, the bird baths cleaned and refilled, all by about 11:00. I stopped a couple of time to have a little coffee, but for the most part I just kept trucking. I still have some branch’s that I had gathered up a week ago pied up out under a tree. Since tomorrow is trash I think I will go out and break all of that up into my trash can to get rid of it. By now tough thee heat is coming back as well as the humidity.  Right now it is only 86 but the “real feel” is 96 in the sun. Luckily, I will be working in the shade and there is a nice breeze going. So it might not be too bad out there. I have other yard work to do too but I think that can wait.
