What a beautiful rain we are having. Thank you Lord!! It is slow and it is steady; there is very little wind so no storms involved. And — it was much needed. I suspect that in a few moments I will proceed to the sun porch, pull the lever on the recliner and sit and just listen to the rain on the roof. —- We all know what happens after that. —- You we’re thinking he’ll drift off to sleep but no, I’ll probably just get relaxed and then have to get up and go pee!! 

I had planned to get that limb cut off of the tree yesterday but this lady that I live with had a different idea. Silly lady seemed to think that 90 degrees with 80% humidity wasn’t good for me to be out there working in. So, I gave in and stayed in the house.  It’s just as well. As she said, I’ve put off cutting that limb off for six months now, what’s another day or two. 

So, I have no plans today and I’m in a hurry to get to them. I have writing that I could do but I don’t know that I want to do it today. Maybe I’ll just take a day off totally. That would be weird but it would be good “retirement practice”. LOL

The wrens are spending a of of time at the new camera feeder. I really like that new device. I had never seen one or even heard of one so it was quite a surprise when Heather and John sent it to me.  

I think this morning I’ll fix some oatmeal for breakfast. Of course it will be Quaker instant packages but that’s okay. I have always been a fan of oatmeal but usually forget we even have it in the cabinet. A bowl of oatmeal and a bagel makes for a good breakfast.  

That’s it for today. Don’t neglect to attend your house of worship this weekend. Give God thanks for your week of blessings. Even if your week totally sucked for one reason or another —- you made it through it with your heart still beating. Give thanks for that. Peace.
