It is the 9th of July. Tomorrow is Kate's "big day", i.e. her cardio ablation. Today we took her to the beauty shop for a hair cut etc. and then we had to go to Deaconess for her to have an echocardiogram. Tomorrow morning we have to have her there at 0800 which seems weird because her actual procedure doesn't happen until 1100. But I guess they have all kids of stuff they need to do to prep her for the procedure. I expect that we won't get to come home until maybe 1700, assuming she does get to come home. Depending how it goes, they may decide to keep her overnight. I hope not. ut I'm asking for prayers for her from any and all who happen to read this. 

With that, I think we are heading to bed. Peace. 

 Happy 4th of July. 250 years as a nation, isn’t it amazing how far this nation has come and yet in many ways we are still as we were on day one. One that day the founders of the fledgling country were full of hope and dreams that would take years to become to fruition. But it has come to pass. Those 13 states have become fifty and this world has no doubt about who and what the United States of America represents to the entire world. Many countries rely on us for their protection and their economic security. Our enemies respect what we are and what we represent even though they disagree with us. 

However, we are today a nation that is more divided than it has even been, politically, socially, ideologically. The main stream media has taken sides with the left and refuses to present news but rather opinions. And I wonder sometimes what would have happened to our heading for independence had we had today’s availability to social media back in 1776. 

But, I still believe in God Bless America more than ever. I’m extremely proud to have seems my country as a member of the armed forces for 32 years. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to have been allowed to serve God as a pastor of the Gospel for the last 23 years. I pray that this country will solve their differences and truly become a United States of America. I wonder if we will actually celebrate a 500 years anniversary and what we will look like. Keep praying America. 

 July 1st. We start the second half of the year. 

I was absolutely planning to start fairly early this morning and go mow my yard. However, I walked to the kitchen at 070 and checked the thermometer and the heat index was already 95 degrees and climbing. Ms. Kate said “The yard can wait.” 

Our cleaning lady, Kari, is here this morning. She comes around 0900 and is here for three hours. She has been with us for a couple of years now and really does a good job. She comes every two weeks. My friend Art Christmas also uses her. She is a sweetheart.

I guess since I can’t mow again today because of the heat, we will do laundry later on today. The laundry basket is getting full and when it gets full it gets heavy. 

Julie will be coming over on Friday and then leaving on Saturday. Her birthday is on Sunday. Hard to believe I have a child turning 58. Time sure does fly by.

 June 30th; the year of 2026 is officially half over today. That's a little hard to believe isn't it? How has your year gone so far? Have you accomplished any of the things you planned to do this year? It has been a good year for me and Ms. Kate so far. Our health is holding out, mine much better than Kate's. Next week she is to have a cardio ablation to hopefully get her out of AFIB for the foreseeable future. If that doesn't work, then I guess the next step is a pacemaker. Although, she was hearing something about an AI procedure to address AFIB. I guess we will be reading up on that. I didn't hear it but I will certainly check in to it. 

Any way, the highlight of 2026 so far is our vacation that we took down to Tennessee and getting to be with all of the family except for Lauren and Jon. I have said it a hundred times that I really envy all of our friends that have their families living close. I hope they appreciate it too. 

This year we celebrated our 60th anniversary in February and on June 16th we celebrated our 64th year anniversary of our first date. Man oh man, have we come a long way since that first date and even since our wedding day. We have tucked a lot of adventures, love, and miles into that envelope and I'm asking God to give us a few more. 

I bought a new laptop computer last week. My old one would no longer take updates because the system was too old and updates were no longer available. They quit serving Windows 10 last October. My old one only had a 12 inch screen and this new one has a 15 inch screen. Much easier on my almost 82 year old eyes. BTW, I'm only 20 days away from being 82 now. Who would have thunk it. But here I am looking for vacation spots for the next two years. Hopefully Kate and I both will still be kicking that long. 

We're in a major heat wave all across this country. Our heat index is to be 105 today and the same for the rest of the week on into Monday of next week. It is going to be a hot 4th of July. People will drink too much trying to stay hydrated and not realize that drinking alcohol has the opposite effect on you in hot weather. It just makes you thirstier. Of course, I'm not saying don't drink booze, I'm just saying that you won't get the desired impact you are looking for.

 Let’s start the week off with a quick post. We had lots of storms in the area yesterday afternoon. At one point our weatherman is tracking five active tornadoes at one time. I’m hearing there were two deaths and at least a dozen injuries. I know a bunch of homes were destroyed as well as two churches. AccuWeather says we will have some more storms this afternoon. Yuk We have had enough rain for the time being. 

Unfortunately, my generator has a problem. Last Thursday I was working in the garden and the generator kicked on. I went in and asked ms. Kate if we had lost power and she said “no”. So, I thought maybe the weekly test cycle was off and I waited for maybe ten movers and it didn’t shut back off. I tried to manually shut it off and as soon as I let go of the “off” button, it came back on. I ended up calling the peoples I bought it from and they walked me through a few ideas but it still would not stay turned off. Today they came out to look at it and said that this controller had gone bad because ants had eaten part of it. Who knew???? Anyway, it is going to be down for an another week while they order a new part. Sounds like money to me. 

Father’s Day was fine. I preached yesterday morning and then we stayed home for the rest of the day. It was plenty relaxing. 

This week I need to work on a couple of sermons. If the kids dries out I will mow and I have some limbs in the back yard to pick up.

 It’s been an okay type of day. The weather has been sunny for the most part but with a noticeable amount of humidity. Tomorrow though promises to be nice as does Saturday. Rain will next come on Father’s Day. 

I spent a good deal of time out in the yard yesterday. I had a lot of trimming to do with the weed eater. So much that I actually went through two fully charged batteries. My neighbor kids came over for an hour yesterday and I put them to work pulling the grass and weeds in my tomato bed. They do a fairly good job and I make sure they know that they have to complete the job. I actually hire the oldest boy, Lincoln, but his younger brother comes along. I pay Lincoln $15.00 an hour. If they both show up, I give them twenty. They seem very happy to come work for me. I’ll keep them working most of the summer. 

We had really heavy rain last night and I ended up with three or four significant sized dead branches down on the ground. I will clean that up tomorrow. Ms. Kate says she wants to try to help. We’ll see how that works out. I may have to ask Lincoln over to help. Or —- just try to do it by my self. Today I have been sore all day from using the weed eater yesterday. By tomorrow I hope to get back at it.

 We’re back from our vacation. 😞 We had a wonderful time with the family in Sevierville, TN for a week. There were 21 of us total. Kate and I records large house and there is room for all of us. Our agreement is that we will rent the house and they will provide the food and do all of the cooking. Each family takes a meal or two. I do one breakfast with the help of grandkids. My “papa-cakes” are a demand and a tradition. This year I did waffles and we had eggs and sausage. Kate also mixed up a batch of home made ice creme and we had that one evening. I take along my ice cream maker and the grandkids sit and jabber with me as it churns. What a blessing. Kate and Lisa made meatloaf and mashed potatoes for one Mel so yes, she and I get in on the meal rotation too. Then each of the girls fix their “specialty”. I think we have decided though for future planning we will not include a lunch time meal. We eat breakfast too late and that slides everything else on the schedule and we always have a bunch of food left over. 

The family each go their separate ways durning our vacation doing what ever might be on their fun list. Lisa and Gary and Heather and John do al or of hiking and walking, The kids did zip lining and white water rafting and shopping at the “tourist trap” store. I took the entire family out to a favorite restaurant for one of our evening meals. That one cost me $600.00 and there was no alcohol bought . That’s one reason we chose that particular restaurant. If they had bought alcohol I suspect the price would easily have gone up another $200.00.  And tea and soda’s work just as well. 

So now I’m home and there is a lot of lawn to mow and weeds to pull. We had plenty of rain here while we were gone so the growing just kept happening. I also need to fill bird feeders or the birds will beat me up.

 `Wednesday night. It’s been a busy couple of days and I don’t have a lot to write about. Today we went for Kate to get her blood taken for her Friday doctor’s appointment. She got the results on My Chart this afternoon and most everything looked pretty good. This appointment is with Dr. Jackson who is our family physician. It’s hopefully going to be a fairly quick appointment. She has a hair appointment shortly after her doctor’s appointment and she doesn’t want to be late. And, —- as soon as her hair is done, we head out for our vacation. We need to get south of Lexington, KY before we quit for the day. 

Tomorrow she has an appointment to have her toenails done. Then we come home and I have a bunch of things to get done before we take off for a week. 

So that’s it maybe until a couple of weeks. Peace. 

June 1st, 2026. We begin a new month and at the end of this month 2026 will be half over. Just wow!

I’ve been staying busy trying to stay ahead of the weeds in the garden and keeping the grass cut. We’ve also had our share of doctor’s appointments and I have as you know been busy preaching. I preached at Christ UCC again yesterday. I will pitch there again on the 21st of June and then on the 28th of June I will preach at Wadesville Christian church. The church that I preached at yesterday voted on a friend of mine to be their interim pastor starting in August. Interesting he enough, he asked me if I would be interested in doing Supply preaching at the church he has been doing supply for. I told him I would love it so he is going to provide my name and number to the president of that church. We will see what happens. (Have sermon, will travel; LOLOL)

 

We are five days from our family reunion and everyone is really excited about it. Menus are being planned, supplies are being bought, packing has started and the daily chat continues. It still looks like everyone will make it except Lauren and Jon. I really hate that they can’t make it. Kate and I are responsible for two meals. I’m doing “papa breakfast” on Sunday morning. That will be waffles, sausage, and eggs. I will enlist the grandkids to help me because that is our tradition. Maybe we’ll bring the great-grandkids in on it and they can continue the tradition. Kate and Lisa will be making meatloaf by request on Tuesday dinner time and I think Monday evening we will be making the homemade ice cream. No doubt we will be fixing entire too much food and schedules will have to be tailored. Josh, Christina and they’re two kids will be leaving on Tuesday afternoon so they’re visit will be short. But at least they get to come. The week is going to fly by. 

My tomatoes are producing already. I counted six on yesterday. They won’t be ready for a couple of weeks but at least I know they are producing.

 It’s been a couple of weeks since my last post. I honestly have simply forgotten that I do this. That’s probably not a good thing, forgetting to do what was once a daily routine. 

There isn’t a lot to write about though. Life has gone on. Routine things like tending the yard and flower beds, doctor’s appointments and more doctor’s appointments. Ms. Kate is going through a rough patch again and is back in AFIB. Her doctor has scheduled her for a heart ablation on July 10th. The AFIB has left her feeling totally drained of strength. But she does what she can. I feel for her. 

I just came in from mowing my yard and Dan’s yard. This is Memorial Day weekend and I want the yard to look good. I have spent quite a few hours in the flowerbeds these past couple of weeks. The peonies and the iris needed to be deadheaded. I got a lot of it done but have not finished. We have had rain for much of this week and expect it to rain more through the majority of next week. I was lucky that the grass is dry enough to mow without clumping up. 

My whole family is counting down the days until our family vacation in Sevierville, TN. It starts two weeks from today. All of the family is supposed to be there except Jon and Lauren. Jon simply can’t afford it because he’s still waiting on a job, and Lauren has a MOTOCROSS race on each end of our week. But, we’ll at least get to watch her on NBC Television Sports the first weekend. 

I’m preaching tomorrow and again next Sunday. Then I preach again on the 21st of June at one church and June 28th at a new church. It is keeping busy writing and I love that.

 I always tell myself I am going to do better about blogging  but then here it is, Wednesday again and I have not been on for five days or so. Truth be known, you haven’t missed anything at all. Humdrum is humdrum. 

Julie and Jim came down last Saturday for a quick visit. I missed part of their visit because I was at a conference at church with the Evangelical Association. That conference was a really good thing though. I had a session on EA polity and truly enjoyed it. I’m glad our church hosted the conference because I would not have gone otherwise. Their meetings are usually held over close to St. Louis and I won’t drive that far for a meeting. But, Julie and Jim are coming back this weekend for Mother’s Day. That’s a great thing. 

We have been busy doing unwanted stuff with our banking. I know I told you about our check take we had sent to pay our Visa bill being stolen and “washed” and cashed under a frightened name. Well of course that set off a number of events that we had to tend with, not the least of which was that our bank said they were going to cancel our account because of the fraudulent transaction. That meant I had to change where my direct deposit from my retirement check went and change a couple of automatic payouts etc. I called the bank and they told me that they would cancel my account and open me a new one but that I had to physically come to one of their locations to do that. They are in Missouri, so that ain’t happening. They recommended that I take my money out of their bank before they close it. So, I wrote a check for the full amount  and deposited it in my local bank. I also now have my retirement check being direct deposited in my local bank. It was all just a hassle but I think it is taken care of. I left $5.00 in the Missouri account and they can send me a cashier’s check for that on the 18th when they officially close my account. 

On a happier note, one month from today we check in to our vacation home with all of the family. That is exciting stuff and the entire family is counting days. So far, I think only Jon and Lauren won’t make it. Jon is busy with his job and so is Lauren. We are going to miss them.  We haven’t seen them is a long time. But we all knew the day was coming when the grandkids and now great grandkids would become adults with their own lives and daily stuff. So, we are truly grateful do get to see them. 

It is a chilly day here today (56 degrees) and there is moisture in the air from the rain last night. But a pleasant day to be outside. But the sun is finally shining and that makes it “look” warmer.

 May Day! May Day! May Day!!! Yes, it is May the first, and it is 9:30 at night. I’m watching one of my paranormal shows that Julie, Lisa and I follow. Ghost hunter that react to a lot of noises and never “see” anything to speak of. But at left they aren’t like some of the shows, one in particular, that runs into “demons and being “possessed” every show. I hate the obvious fake stuff and the stars of these other shows call them out all the time. But, the girls and I like to watch them and talk and laugh about them. 

We had stuff to do today. Kate had a hair appointment this morning. Then we went to the bank and to the Walgreens to pick up a prescription diet Kate. This afternoon I planted some plants that Kari had brought me. Then Kate made two angel-food cakes. One of them is for me to take to the church in the morning. I have an all day meeting with the Evangelical Association folks tomorrow. Our church has agreed to host the meeting. So Kate made a Kate soup the lunch dessert. The other cake is for us. Julie and Jim are coming over tomorrow and we will share it. We haven’t seen them in a while so it will be nice. 

I have a couple of things that I want Jim to do because he is tall. I save these jobs for his visit rather than get on a ladder myself and get fussed at by Kate. She thinks I’m old or something.

Mid week again. We had another “doctor morning”. Kate had an appointment with one of her heart doctors. She is back in AFIB for the “umpteenth” time. Doctor is recommending a Cardio ablation this time instead of doing another Cardioversion. She has put in the order but it will probably take a couple of months to get it on the schedule. I reckon until then, we just stay with the current meds and -she will remain in AFIB.  The risk of the ablation or that she has some kind of blood clotting disorder and an ablation could cause a clot to form and she could have another heart attack or stroke. She has been told by another doctor that her disorder is what caused her to have three mis-carriages, her heart attack and her stroke. The odds are small but certainly there. We suspected this was going to be the only real option. It’s all in God’s hands. 

We were facing strong storms on Monday evening and night but they never actually formed. We did get some beneficial rain though, 1.75 inches worth. We got some more last night. I woke up around 0300 and could hear the rain coming down hard. But it is sunny outside now and the high today is 63. The entire country has been going through really weird and crappy weather. 

Tomorrow I have to take the new car down for some kind of Armour protection coating to be put on. I stuff it is a weather protection or speeding. It was part of the package when we bought the car. Here an interesting thing for us; When we had our last Cadillac I had a personalized Indiana license plate put on it —- K8SCDY, for Kate’s Caddy. When we sold it, I kept that plate incase we should ever buy another Cadillac. I’ll, we went to the BMV yesterday and they put the plate back in service and I now have it on the new car. I’m very happy about that. I’m also easy to please. LOL.

 A new week again. We are currently under a severe storm watch and a tornado watch but at the moment, the sun is shining. I think that is maybe not a good thing. I’m watching the weather and news right now and according to Wayne, (my guy) that despite the lull in activity a the moment, we’re far from out of danger. Sounds like a good idea to spend the evening in the basement. The problem is that Kate has a terrible time getting down there. But, we’ll certainly be watching the development as the evening goes along. 

This morning I went to the funeral of a childhood friend. Paul was may age and he and I went to grade school, high school, Sunday school, youth fellowship and confirmation together. He was our Best Man for our wedding 60 years ago. There were a lot of wonderful comments at the funeral from people in the congregation. Paul spent a lot of his life doing mission trips and doing work for The Lord and for humanity. He will certainly be missed.

I was supposed to have a dental appointment for a minor repair this morning but Paul’s funeral was at the same time. So I got on the line early and contacted my dental office and got it changed.  

Other than that, it has been a calm weekend. I got the yard work all done Saturday and planted some new tomatoes. Kari brought us some new plants so I get those planted maybe tomorrow. All of my already planted tomatoes are really growing good.

 It’s Wednesday morning already. Another week is trying to zoom by us. It’s a beautiful morning. It’s currently 65 degrees and the sun is shining bright. Thankfully the wind has died down We have had steady 20=25 mph winds for the past two days. It has been a windy spring so far. 

Kari, our cleaning lady is going to be here soon. She comes once every two weeks and today is her day. Sometimes, Kate and I will just go out to breakfast or something to get out of the way while she is here. I think maybe we will go to the gym this morning. I’m not sure. I have not been informed what my plans are yet. LOL But she did ask if I wanted to go work out. But then she is also making a Walmart pickup list so ergo knows. 

Yesterday we went pout to church and picked up  some geraniums. Every year we sell geraniums to support the Weekday Education program. We only bought three but I need to plant those in some pots today. I also need to water my tomatoes this morning. I have given away several of my tomato plants and have a few more to give away. I think Kari will take a couple and I’m hoping Dan gets home and will take the rest. I have ten plants in the dirt. That’s enough for us. 

I’ve been busy writing. I have one final sermon to finish and my May services will be ready to present. That’s a good thing.

 Happy Sunday (late) evening. It’s 10:30 pm and Ms. Kate is watching television and I’m just wasting time here on my IPad reading stuff on Facebook. She and I don’t watch a lot of television together because we have vastly different tastes in shows. We did set and watch Tournament of Champions together and it was the season finale. That’s one thing we both like; cooking shows. But she loves to watch “detective shows and mysteries” and lawyer shows. Me, I don’t like “drama” and shows where the characters go through 5000 rounds of bullets. They are so fake. When I watch cops and other characters firing off round after round I always think, where is the accountability for the that based round ended up. I also think, I feel sorry for the guy that has to push all of those magazines that they use. And often, in case it didn’t knw, bullets are heavy so the is no way some guys has three and four 15 rounds magazines on him in his pockets. Then there is the show “Matlock” that she she watches based on the premise that this elderly lawyer just can show up at the bar prestigious law firm in the city and start working and no one checks her  credentials. And, when she is not watching those, she is watching other card makers do their craft.  

I can’t say I am any better with my choices. I watch all things paranormal, and science fiction stuff. Like all or any it’s is real. When I can’t find anything else on, I will watch Big Bang Theory for the 100th time.

 Hello Thursday people. I hope your day has been blessed. We’ve had a fairly routine day. This morning Kate had her optometry appointment that we thought was yesterday. That took her about one and a half hours but thankfully there were no surprises like a need for new glasses. We love it when the only results we come out with is a “see you next year”. 

After her appointment we stopped at Taco Bell and pick up a little lunch and then came home. Spent the afternoon relaxing combined with doing the laundry. The hardest part of doing the laundry is folding it up and putting it away. 

We had a real surprise today. We got our USAA Visa bill the other day and it showed that we had not paid the last bill. We knew that was wrong and Kate pulled out the check book and sure enough she had written the check on the 17th of March. Well, we got out the latest bank statement and sure enough the check had cleared the bank but ——- it showed the check being made out to someone we have never heard of. What that means is that someone stole our check, did what they call “washed it” and made it out to themself. So someone stole $3077.27 from us. I have contacted USAA and I have contacted our bank, both have started investigations. It will probably be a long process and most likely we will have to pay the money again. But how crappy is that?? 

That was my fine day. Hopefully we won’t have any super surprises tomorrow. Peace. 

 Wow, dropping a note two days in a row!!! It’s been a good day. We had a few errands to run and got those taken care of. We had a prescription to pick up from Walgreens. (Yes, another one.) I think we go there at least once a week. After we did that we went up to Karen’s house. I had offered her some tomato plants and my plants are ready to put in the ground. I have checked the forecast for the next month and I don’t see any cold weather in the future that would hurt my plants. Today I separated some of the plants. I took four to Karen, I have also set three aside for Brenda. She said she would take a couple to put in her “horse trough” planter. She has a problem with deer eating her garden up there in the country. She hopes that by planting them in the horse trough the deer may not bother them. We will see.

I also set aside eight plants for me to plant in my garden. Last year I planted I think thirteen or fourteen plants. They did well at first and just kind of quit for a while and in the fall they started coming on again for a bit. 

The first thing I did this morning was to work my garden up. Last year I borrowed Karen’s tiller to till my garden. The year I decided to try to work it up with a hand tiller. I was very pleased to find that the ground worked exactly right and I was able to get it ready to plant in. I won’t have to borrow the tiller now. The bad thing is that I have pinched a nerve in my hip and am having pain with that. So, not borrowing her tiller and having to lift and carry that is good. The problem is pulling on that hand tiller aggravated that nerve so I’m taking the afternoon off and have taken some Advil to help. I’m hoping tomorrow that I can mow my backyard and do some weed eating and also get my tomatoes planted. Kate has an optometry appointment tomorrow so I will have to do my work around that. 

Yesterday was also a very productive day. I have told you that I often “write” sermons in my sleep and that happened yesterday. Well, I finally sat down and started writing and finished it up yesterday evening.

 It is almost the middle of the month of April. I expect there are folks that are scrambling today to get their taxes done and in the mail. I’m glad we did ours in February and got them over with. I absolutely hate doing taxes and I contend that once you reach 80 years of age, one should not have to be paying taxes anymore. Of course there isn’t a politician that would take up that cause for me. LOL. So if I live to be 100, my last act on earth will probably be to pay my taxes. 

How was your weekend? Ours was uneventful, we just did the routine stuff; yard work, house work, and church. We did get a call from our sweet granddaughter, Amanda yesterday so tat was the bright spot of the day. That girl just brightens my heart every theme she calls. I love when any of our grandkids call us, which isn’t very often, but Amanda has always been our sparkle kid, so bright and cheerful and loves life to the fullest. But don’t confuse my feeling to be saying she is our favorite grandkid cause we don’t have a favorite. 

It was already 70 degrees when I got up this morning at 0700. That’s like summer time weather. I think it is a good indication that we will be getting some rain and maybe a storm or two this week. My weather app says to expect rain around 10:00 this morning and that’s only 20 minutes away and I’m seeing no clouds, just a little overcast. We need some rain. I am anxiously awaiting for the nights to stay warmer and the danger of frost to go away. My tomato plants are ready to go outside but I don’t want to take a chance of them getting frost bite. They are really looking healthy. If they do as well once I put them in the garden as they are doing inside, I will have a great crop of tomatoes this year. 

Ms. Kate has a doctor’s appointment today on the east side of town at Gateway Hospital. I’m not sure which specialist she is seeing today. She has two different heart doctors, a urologist, a pain doctor, a kidney doctor, our dentist, and our family doctor that we see regularly and then on Wednesday, she has an appointment with our optometrist for her annual check up. No wonder all the names in her phone listing begin with Doctor. It seems like she has to have blood work done every two weeks or so. I’m very fortunate in that I basically see our family doctor once a year and the dentist and optometrist. raise the Lord, one of us is healthy and can take care of the other. We are truly blessed. 

I spent part of my morning sleep time writing a sermon in my mind. I do that frequently. The problem is that I often forget what I had put together by the time I wake up. But this one was for the upcoming Pentecost/Memorial Day sermon that I have to give and I’m retaining a good portion of it so, I better quit here and start writing that sermon down.

 Happy Wednesday. I don’t know about where you live but we have a beautiful sunny chilly morning going on here at my house. I think it is about 50 degrees which isn’t too bad but the breeze is a bit stiff. 

I don’t have much for today. I think that we might run up to Newburgh to my sister-in-law’s house for a visit, (yes, to show off the new car). I also need to do some outside work today but I’m waiting for the temperature to climb a little before I get out and do that. I need to water my tomato plants in my starter pots. They are really growing. It will probably be a month before it is really safe to plant them outside. The ground is just not warm enough yet and we had a light frost warning just a couple of days ago. 

People keep asking me what my opinion is about the current fighting that the US is doing along with Israel against the country of Iran. I won’t call it a war I guess because war has not been declared nor authorized by our congress; but missiles and bombs are flying back and forth and people are dying, so war by any other name is still war.  I am not familiar enough with the particulars of this operation to render an expert opinion.  And we don’t get any straight answers from any one. The media is so skewed against President Trump and they make up what they don’t know and present it as fact. I understand that the leadership of Iran has zero respect for their own people let alone other nations. The Iranian leadership seems determined to build a nuclear war fighting capability and they really can never be allowed to have that. They will use their religious beliefs to destroy the world just like they have their own people. They have killed over 45000 of their own people that disagreed with them and rule with an iron religious bound fist. But —— is it our job to be the one who stands up to them?  I guess that is the question. And while I think it is a good thing that we have, I just wish that our President would keep his dang mouth shut. He is such a school yard braggart and bully which is why so many people have no respect for him. He could carry out this mission with a sincere of concern and humility without constantly talking about it. I will just say that I pray that it ends very soon and that we don’t get dragged into a long “Vietnam type” scenario. And I pray for the citizens of Iran who are dragged into this at no cause of their own. And ——- my suspicious and skeptical mind wonders what is the war is being used as a cover for that my be going on elsewhere.
