Hello Thursday people. I hope your day has been blessed. We’ve had a fairly routine day. This morning Kate had her optometry appointment that we thought was yesterday. That took her about one and a half hours but thankfully there were no surprises like a need for new glasses. We love it when the only results we come out with is a “see you next year”. 

After her appointment we stopped at Taco Bell and pick up a little lunch and then came home. Spent the afternoon relaxing combined with doing the laundry. The hardest part of doing the laundry is folding it up and putting it away. 

We had a real surprise today. We got our USAA Visa bill the other day and it showed that we had not paid the last bill. We knew that was wrong and Kate pulled out the check book and sure enough she had written the check on the 17th of March. Well, we got out the latest bank statement and sure enough the check had cleared the bank but ——- it showed the check being made out to someone we have never heard of. What that means is that someone stole our check, did what they call “washed it” and made it out to themself. So someone stole $3077.27 from us. I have contacted USAA and I have contacted our bank, both have started investigations. It will probably be a long process and most likely we will have to pay the money again. But how crappy is that?? 

That was my fine day. Hopefully we won’t have any super surprises tomorrow. Peace.
